Please remember that you do not have to be asked to join the Fourth Degree. A member in good standing in the Third Degree is qualified to be a candidate for the Fourth Degree. The basic rule requires that a Third Degree member have been First Degree member for one year. However, a waiver for any Third Degree member in good standing, who meets the requirements of the application (Form 4), and has taken the first degree over six months prior to the date of the exemplification, can simply fill out an application and turn it in to the local assembly. Please notify the Master that a waiver is being requested when sending the forms to him. The Master can then request the waiver from the Supreme Office.
This application must be voted upon by the Assembly and signed by the Faithful Navigator and Faithful Comptroller. The application must also be signed by a Proposer and the candidate, along with your Third Degree Council’s Financial Secretary. Once this is done, you are on your way to becoming a member of a very proud and honored degree of the Knights of Columbus.
